Be a Master Speaker – Speak up & Communicate with Confidence

Effective communication & public speaking skills are core 21st century skill sets which all students need to hone and develop. Not only are they needed in school (oral exams, project presentations, DSA & scholarship interviews, speaking-related CCAs, leadership positions etc), they are also imperative for one to excel in the work place and in life. Being a good communicator will help your child excel in the following areas:

  1. CCA leadership positions, Confidence building
  2. Scholarship interviews, DSA interviews
  3. Class/Public speeches or presentations
  4. Project work in schools
  5. Oral Exams (in Primary & Secondary)
  6. Speaking-related CCAs (eg Debating)

In this seminar, parents will gain a good understanding of how an international qualification such as the Graded Exams on ‘Communication Skills’ (awarded by Trinity College London) can help students and how students can develop and become master speakers by the end of their secondary education.

This seminar will be conducted by  Ms Mary Ann Tear, a senior examiner and trainer for Trinity College London, as well as a British Federation adjudicator, choreographer, director and performing arts lecturer and practitioner. She is now based in Singapore as the SEA Drama and Performance Consultant for Trinity College London whilst still perusing her examining , lecturing, and adjudicating roles. Her work has taken her to Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, India Sri Lanka, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Bermuda, as well as Europe and the UK. She is also the mentor consultant/Co-Writer of our upcoming “Master Speakers” Programme.
