Parent Seminar on Giftedness & GEP (January Run)

  • Does your child find school work too easy or normal enrichment classes not challenging enough?
  • Is he or she perpetually curious or gets easily bored with the mundane?
  • Does your child imbibe or soak up information like a sponge?

If your answer is yes to some or all of the questions above, then your child might be gifted!

Let our resident GEP expert, Mr Alvin Kuek, share with you his insights in this Parent seminar.  An ex-RI Secondary & RJC scholar, Mr Kuek has taught hundreds of GEP students over the years and was instrumental in conceptualising the syllabi for our GEP Prep Lab classes.

Seminar Synopsis

  • The general characteristics of a gifted child
  • What ‘Giftedness’ means in the context of the GEP (Gifted Education Programme)
  • Nature Vs. Nurture – Can ‘Giftedness’ be nurtured?
  • Can you prepare your child to get into the GEP?
  • Assessment & Preparation for the GEP Tests

Since 2011, more than 500 students in our GEP Prep Lab Programmes have qualified for the GEP.   Why are some students successful in getting through to the GEP, while some are not?

Get to know all this and more in our Parent Seminars at our MS East & West Campuses this weekend.  Choose the session and venue that is more convenient for you!
