- Build a strong foundation by mastering the key fundamental concepts in H2 Mathematics;
- Sharpen their analytical skills and techniques that are required to tackle challenging questions in JC exams & the A-Level Mathematics exam; and
- Cultivate interest in Mathematics so that learning Mathematics becomes practical and effective.
Junior College Courses (By Topical Modules) - Mathematics
- A Personalised Learning & Structured Guidance Approach Importance of H2 Mathematics H2 Mathematics is designed to train JC students to be analytical problem solvers and able to apply mathematical concepts in a real-world context. Through this, it is hoped that students will experience and better appreciate the beauty of mathematics and its value in life, and thus, be better prepared for a range of courses across various disciplines when they enter university. In H2 Mathematics, students will be exposed to two branches: Pure Mathematics and Statistics. Pure Mathematics relies heavily on our understanding of Additional Mathematics, while Statistics relies on only (Elementary) Mathematics. The learning curve for the transition from Secondary Mathematics (regardless of whether a student is in the O-Level or IP stream) to both these branches of H2 Mathematics is steep. That is why many students struggle with this important subject if they lack the foundation or lack a clear study & practice plan.
