Is your child ready for Primary 1?
The transition from pre-school education to formal education can be a challenging one, as there will not only be changes in the environment but also changes in the way classes are being taught. Some of the worries that most parents have in general are as follows:
Those are valid concerns as the education scene is ever changing and the most recent change is the removal of all examinations for Primary 1 and 2 students. This will directly affect your child if he/she is going into Primary 1 in 2020. Hence as parents, you will naturally be concerned about how your child will be assessed and how will this change affect your child.
In this workshop, Ms Joanna Tan, a former primary school teacher with more than 10 years of experience will be sharing her expertise and answering your questions. She will also be giving parents tips on how to prepare your child for Primary 1 and how to help your child integrate and adapt into Primary 1. On top of that, Miss Liu Lu, our Chinese subject expert will be touching on points on what to expect for Primary 1 Chinese.
This parent talk will provide key tips to ensure that your child makes a smooth transition to Primary 1.
Here are what some of the parents have to say about the talk:
- “Joanna has been very interactive and provided very good examples of learning and teaching. Very helpful!” – Jean Lim
- “Clear explanation on how to prepare my child for Primary 1” – Canice Lew
- “The talk was very practical and easy to digest tips were shared by the speakers which helped a lot. Thank you so much!” – Christina
