Dear Parent

Extension of MS Online Lessons under Stabilisation Phase &
Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures at Malls

As the daily number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce has announced on 20 Oct 2021 that Singapore’s Stabilisation Phase will be extended till 21 Nov 2021 (Sun) to ease the strain on our healthcare systems. The current measures will be reviewed in 2 weeks’ time. Meanwhile, under this phase, the MOE has also strongly encouraged tuition and enrichment centres to continue conducting their lessons online.

In line with the extension of the Stabilisation Phase, all Mind Stretcher lessons will continue to be conducted online till the tentative date of 21 Nov 2021 (Sun). This means that

    • Lessons for MS Week 1 (15 – 21 Nov) of our 2022 Academic Year will tentatively be conducted online
    • P3 GEP Prep Lab lessons for AY 2021 will continue to be conducted online
    • Phonics & Reading lessons will continue to be suspended till further notice

We are monitoring the situation closely and will provide more updates in early November once we have received news from the MOE.

Vaccination-Differentiated Safe Management Measures at Malls

In addition to the tightened measures under the Stabilisation Phase, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce has also announced that with effect from 13 Oct 2021 (Wed), vaccination-differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) will further expand to include entry into malls and large standalone stores.

If your child is from a Mind Stretcher centre located within a mall and is above the age of 12, kindly note that under the expanded VDS, he/she will be permitted to enter the mall and attend physical lessons if he/she meets any of the following criteria:

    • Be fully vaccinated, or
    • Have recovered from COVID-19 infection (i.e. less than 270 days of the first positive PCR test result obtained in Singapore), or
    • Have a valid negative Pre-Event Test (PET) result for the duration of the visit to our centre from a MOH-approved COVID-19 test provider

Children aged 12 & below who are not yet medically eligible for vaccination will also be permitted to enter the mall under the expanded VDS.

If your child does not fall into one of the above VDS criteria and thus, is unable to attend physical lessons at a Mind Stretcher centre located within a mall, you may wish to consider the following options when enrolling him/her for Academic Year 2022 courses:

    • MS Online Classes (Pure Online Classes – More details HERE)
    • Another MS Centre that is not located within a mall (Our centres’ locations HERE)
