  • Mental calculation involving addition and subtraction of a 3-digit number and ones/tens/hundreds

    Multiplication and Division

  • Multiplication tables of 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10
  • Use of ÷
  • Multiplying and dividing within multiplication tables
  • Mental calculation within multiplication tables of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10

    Fractions

  • Fraction as part of a whole – halves, quarters
  • Notation and representation of fractions
  • Comparing and ordering unit and like fractions with denominators of fractions not exceeding 12
  • Adding and subtracting fractions

    Money

  • Counting money in dollars and cents
  • Reading and writing money in decimal notation
  • Comparing money
  • Converting money in decimal notation to cents only, vice versa

    Length, Mass and Volume

  • Measuring length in metres, mass in kilograms/grams and volume of liquid in litres
  • Using appropriate units of measurement and their abbreviations m, kg, g and ℓ
  • Comparing and ordering lengths, masses, volumes

    Time

  • Telling time to the minute
  • Measuring time in hours and minutes
  • Converting time in hours and minutes to minutes only, vice versa

    2D and 3D Shapes

  • Making and/or completing patterns with 2D shapes according to their size, shape, colour and orientation
  • Identifying, naming, describing and classifying 3D shapes – cube, cuboid, cone, cylinder, sphere
