Our Secondary Science programme exposes students to all the key examinable components of Physics, Chemistry and Biology using the CREED approach (Conceptualise, Relate, Elaborate, Evaluate, and Driven Learner). They will be driven to ask questions and make sense of Science in the world around them.

Journey through our Secondary Science courses

Sec 1 & Sec 2 Science

Students will have to manage the transition from primary science, and adapt to the rigour of the Lower Secondary Science curriculum. They have to cope with expanded content coverage, and apply higher-order skills to tackle more application-type questions in their examinations.

Our Sec 1 and 2 Science Programme will help students to build a solid foundation in the Lower Secondary Science topics. Through detailed topical notes and concept papers, students will reinforce their learning of key concepts. Beyond theory, students will get the opportunity to participate in hands-on experiments, which enable them to appreciate science in action.

Students will acquire the right answering techniques to tackle their examinations. With our weekly practice papers that include questions tiered by difficulty level, we will train students to hone their question analysis and answering skills, with focus on the right key words and terminologies to use for different questions.

Sec 3 & Sec 4 Physics

Building upon the Lower Secondary foundation, Pure Physics at Upper Secondary will require students to undertake a deeper dive into Physics concepts. Students are also expected to demonstrate proficiency in handling information and solving problems, by applying Physics principles to novel situations.

Our Sec 3 and 4 Physics Programme will reinforce students’ understanding of key concepts through detailed topical notes and concept papers. Hands-on experiments are also included to enhance students’ understanding of the subject matter. As we recognise that mere memorisation of concepts and formulas will not suffice for Pure Physics, focus is placed on equipping students with the skills to dissect question types, recognise the concepts tested, make sense of relevant data, and use the right keywords and terminologies to answer the questions.

Students will have ample opportunities to practice common and trending O-Level questions, and also hone their time management skills under exam conditions during our regular assessment.

Sec 3 & Sec 4 Combined Science

While the examination requirements for Combined Sciences may appear less intensive than Pure Sciences, students will still need to develop a sound and robust understanding of core concepts to do well in this subject.     

Our Sec 3 and 4 Combined Science programme will help students to consolidate their learning in Physics and Chemistry, and strengthen their foundation. Topical papers and concept notes will be provided to help students internalise the key concepts and formula required for the examinations. Through our weekly practice papers, we will provide close guidance to students to help them build confidence in analysing the questions, and crafting good answers with the use of relevant key-words and terminologies.   

Students will have ample opportunities to practice common and trending O-Level questions, and also hone their time management skills under exam conditions during our regular assessment.
