Journey through our Primary Science course

Our Primary 3 and 4 Science Programme will introduce students to the world of science and its foundational concepts, such as Living and Non-Living Things, Materials and Plant and Body Systems. Students will develop a rigorous understanding of core science topics through our structured topical notes, concept maps and practice papers. Lessons are brought to life through our Junior Einstein class component, where students will get to participate in hands-on experiments, and appreciate the real-world applications of science.

Students will also be introduced to techniques to tackle multiple-choice and open-ended examination questions, where they will learn skills to analyse questions, and use the right keywords and terminologies in their answers.

Our Primary 5 and 6 Science Programme will solidify foundational concepts, and introduce new topics in line with MOE’s Upper Block syllabus requirements.

Students will be provided with comprehensive practice on various types of examination questions, so that they may hone their techniques in analysing the concepts tested, and applying the right keywords in their answers to maximise their marks. Students are also trained to go beyond concept recall and sharpen their higher-order thinking skills, so that they may effectively tackle application-type questions in the examinations.

In preparation for the PSLE, PSLE revision notes and practice papers will be distributed to consolidate students’ learning. Students will get access to trending PSLE questions, common mistakes made by students, and strategies to ace the PSLE science paper.

Mrs Shum is a caring teacher who is concerned about her students and their well-being. She has helped me improve in my English and has always been very caring towards me. She stresses on our mental health and has encouraged us a lot. Her teaching is amazing and i love how she shares interesting facts related to the topic we were studying and she exposed us to the basics of general paper too. To add, Mrs Shum gives specific feedback on our work which allowed us to know what we can improve on. The MS comprehension worksheets were also of great help as they allow me to know how to answer certain questions in a straightforward manner. Mrs Shum marks quite strictly which also further prepared me well for the O-levels where the marking is usually more lenient. As a result, I learnt how to do better and could gauge where i stand. Mr Ee is encouraging and kind towards us. He always finds ways to engage us into learning with him too. One thing he does that is unique is that he always prepares a lot of tools for the lesson before the lesson even starts. When we have a question, he will either show the answer in his google drive or search it up on google. When we have questions about exam formats, he will research about it and tell us the answer the week after. Mr Ee is very patient and thoughtful to us too. When we are given a ton of work, instead of giving it all in one go, he would split it up and ask us to hand up separately. I enjoy his classes as he also shows us youtube videos that is related to the lesson, which is fun and engaging. Altogether, I think that Mr Ee is a good teacher and I enjoy all his classes.
