S1 programmes

Level up in core subjects

Our Sec 1 Programme enables students to develop effective writing and public speaking skills, and hone their critical reasoning abilities to tackle new components like Literary Analysis and Summary Writing.

Our Secondary 1 Mathematics programme prepares students for the big jump to Secondary Mathematics. Students acquire fundamental concepts and hone problem-solving skills through comprehensive practice.

Our Secondary 1 Science programme introduces students to the 3 fields of science – Chemistry, Physics and Biology, and solidify their foundation with our comprehensive topical notes and practices.

Kick-off Secondary level Chinese by renewing your passion for the language. Master essential vocabulary and reading techniques, and build a good foundation in writing and oral communications.

Higher Chinese requires more advanced language mastery. We prepare students by reinforcing their foundation in vocabulary and grammar rules, and introducing them to a wide range of texts and essays.

Mrs Shum is a caring teacher who is concerned about her students and their well-being. She has helped me improve in my English and has always been very caring towards me. She stresses on our mental health and has encouraged us a lot. Her teaching is amazing and i love how she shares interesting facts related to the topic we were studying and she exposed us to the basics of general paper too. To add, Mrs Shum gives specific feedback on our work which allowed us to know what we can improve on. The MS comprehension worksheets were also of great help as they allow me to know how to answer certain questions in a straightforward manner. Mrs Shum marks quite strictly which also further prepared me well for the O-levels where the marking is usually more lenient. As a result, I learnt how to do better and could gauge where i stand. Mrs Shum also made me realise that i was better in personal recount essays which allowed me to do well in the O-levels. Overall, MS worksheets were of great help and useful with specific tips and strategies. Thank you so much.

Mr Praga, thank you for teaching me Science as I have improved tremendously after your teaching. It was always hard for me to score in Science and I could not get an A1 no matter how hard I tried. After attending your lessons, I managed to score full marks for my Science WA3 and it's all thanks to you. Besides that, you are very approachable and I am not afraid to ask you any questions I have, different from how I feel when asking questions to my school teachers. Moreover, you go the extra mile by making your own notes for us which are much shorter than the ones provided, making it easier for us to refer when attempting the questions. You are the only teacher that have done that for students throughout all my years in MS and I appreciate every bit of your effort. One more thing, I used to detest Science as I could never understand anything that was taught but after that short period when you taught me, I started to spark an interest in Science and it is now one of my favourite subjects. You are truly one of the best teachers that have taught me in MS and honestly the best Science teacher. I really hope you can teach me Science next year and I will continue to do my best. 🙂🙃
