Journey through our Primary Higher Chinese course

Our rigorous Primary 4 and 5 Higher Chinese 4Cs programme is tailored for high achievers in the Chinese language. Students in this programme will be well equipped to cope with both the Chinese and Higher Chinese examinations.

These high achievers will be trained to read Chinese texts critically and to draw from personal experiences in order to craft insightful answers for open-ended comprehension questions. In addition to techniques to tackle higher order questions, students will learn how to skillfully employ literary devices such as metaphors and personification to make their writing come alive.

Our intensive Primary 6 Higher Chinese 4Cs programme is tailored for students who have a higher capacity and potential for the Chinese language. Students at this level will be throughly trained to take on both the Chinese and Higher Chinese examinations.

These high achievers will be trained to tackle the various challenging components of the Higher Chinese paper by developing critical thinking skills that will elevate their comprehension of Chinese texts. They will learn to turn their astute observations into thoughtful answers especially in the face of higher order thinking questions. In addition, they will learn to produce compositions that stand out from those of their peers using literary techniques and a vast vocabulary.

Mrs Shum is a caring teacher who is concerned about her students and their well-being. She has helped me improve in my English and has always been very caring towards me. She stresses on our mental health and has encouraged us a lot. To add, Mrs Shum gives specific feedback on our work which allowed us to know what we can improve on.
